About Us

The Peace and Reconciliation Working Group (PRWG) in Ninewa is a coordination platform that brings together local and international peacebuilding organizations, government as well as UN agencies and donors. The aim of this coordination mechanism is to reduce duplication of peacebuilding programs, address gaps, information exchange, and capacity building while integrating broader development and systems approaches to peacebuilding, within Ninewa.
The PRWG is comprised of three chairs: the Secretariat, the Technical Coordinator and the Government Representative. In accordance with the PRWG’s terms of references (ToRs), both the Secretariat and the Technical Coordinator are elected by the members of the PRWG annually.
